The Jetway JNC9C-550-L is equipped with Intel Atom N550 CPU (2x1.5Ghz, 8.5W TDP), 2x Gigabit LAN and Mini-PCI-E slot.
Therefore it is a perfect platform for appliance applications like firewalls or routers.
It gets even more attractive when adding a 3xLAN daughter board which enables you to build Multi-WAN routers with 5x Gigabit LAN connectors. When you also add a WLAN Mini-PCI-E card you can use the system as an access point.

Tolles Board, wird ohne Kühlung wie ein Vorschreiber beschreibt recht warm. Ich habe die Astrao Firewall darauf Installiert und in Betrieb. Zusammen mit dem Tochterboard ein schönes Bundle..

Hervorragendes Mainboard, dass dank den zwei Netzwerk- und vier SATA-Anschlüssen bestens als stromsparenden Server-Board eingesetzt werden kann. Beim prozessortechnisch nicht sonderlich anspruchsvollen Serverbetrieb wird die passiv gekühlte CPU im gut belüfteten Gehäuse auch bei Dauerbetrieb maximal handwarm.

Top Board. Verwende allerding einen Lüfter zur Kühlung der CPU. Komme so von ca. 61/65 Grad auf 39/42 Grad herunter. Ist mir persönlich lieber. Die Leistung reicht gut, um einen kleinen Home-Router für's Heimnetz mit Internetanschluss unter Linux aufzusetzen - und auch ein paar Server laufen zu lassen. Erwartungen wurden voll und ganz erfüllt.

Aufgrund der 2 LAN Adapter als Firewall im Einsatz, bin bis dato absolut zufrieden, kann ich dher nur weiter empfehlen.
