I am intrested in saving energie and I needed an new board for my domotica. I ordered this board and build an new domotica pc with an ssd disk. I installed W2008 R2 on it with all my domotica software and I must say I was very suprised with the performance and most of all with the low power usage. On full load it consumes 14 Watt. I also made this days an connection with an Wyse terminal to the board and use it also as my office pc.

I use this mother board on an embedded mobile robot, under Xubuntu. No problem to install. Consumption = 9W with all components (N2800MT + 2Go RAM + HDD + HP =750mA with 12 dc)!! Wireless access by wifi and VNC works well so. Computer vision with openCV and 3D analysis work well and are fast. A very good product. Few hours autonomy with a 7000mAH battery.

This is a really solid product that performs well too.
Runs Windows 7 like a dream thanks to it's multi-core technology.

Agreed with all of the problems listed with VGA and HDMI outputs on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit.
Have tried all drivers on Intel site (as at 27 Feb 2012) and also beta drivers with no success - screen continually 'jumps' around and glitches. Problem is less noticeable at lower resolutions (i.e. 1280 x 800 or less) but is still present. Generic VGA drivers are rock solid but are limited to basic 4x3 screens and no chance of any hardware assisted decoding (XBMC won't even launch). Windows Aero works but the screen is slow to update and so is practically unusable; Basic theme works fine and XBMC loads but there is still the irritating screen jumps / glitches...
Good news is that power consumption is around 10w idle to 15w Prime95 running 4GB DDR3, 30GB OCZ Nocti msata, slim BD-ROM and generic 120w power brick. Also, performance is reasonably snappy from the dual core hyper-threaded CPU.
Bottom line: wait until Intel release some Windows VGA drivers that are actually fit for purpose - a shame as otherwise this could have been (and may eventually become?!) an excellent board.

Habe folgende Geräte zusammen gekauft und bin mit der Qualität dieser Kombination sehr zufrieden:

- Intel DN2800MT Half-Height (Intel Atom 2x1.86Ghz CPU, 10-19VDC) [LÜFTERLOS] *neu*
Ich nutze das Gerät als kleinen Heimserver, hier war für mich insbesondere die Lüfterlose Bauart wichtig.
Durch das halbhohe Board passt auch noch eine PCIe-Karte und ein Lüfter hinein (wobei ich diesen bislang nicht gebraucht bzw. eingebaut habe). Hierbei finde ich es praktisch, dass auf dem Board das Netzteil integriert ist und man über den mSATA bzw. die miniPCIe Schnittstelle eine SSD betreiben kann. Bei dem D525MW gab es wegen Pico-PSU und 2,5" SSD deutlich weniger Platz im Gehäuse (eine PCI-Karte würde hier nie hinein passen). Der Stromverbrauch beträgt mit meinem derzeit verwendeten Netzteil ca. 12 Watt. Hatte aber auch schon 10,5 Watt mit einem anderen Netzteil. Irgendwie bekomme ich die auto-an-Funktion(nach einem Stromausfall)nicht zum laufen, die das Gehäuse an für sich bietet. Habe mich hier allerdings nicht intensiv um die Fehlersuche gekümmert, da diese Funktion für mich nicht so wichtig ist.
Was mir negativ auffällt ist die gegenüber dem D525MW halbierte MTBF (geschätzte Haltbarkeit). Da ich beide Geräte zur selben Zeit in Betrieb genommen habe, bin ich gespannt wie sich das auf die Praxis auswirkt.
